Sail from Topsham Quay at 09:00 down the Ex estuary and out to sea. Our course take us to Brixham for the Heritage Regatta  then on to anchor up river on the Dart. The next days will be dictated by the winds and tides; maybe to Plymouth and Salcombe or Beer and Lyme Regis.

We will return to Topsham with the mid day tide on the 27th.

Stage 1 of our tour of the English Channel. Sail from Topsham along the beautiful south coast of England, around the Jurassic coast, through the Solent, past the Seven Sisters, Beachy Head and  Dungeness to the historic port of Dover.

Stage 2 of our tour of the English Channel. Sail from Calais down the coast of the Pas de Calais, past Cap Gris-Nez, stopping off at Dieppe, Fecamp and Honfleur along the way, and then up the Ouistreham canal past Pegasus Bridge to the ancient port city of Caen.

Stage 3 of our tour of the English Channel. Sail from Caen down the Ouistreham canal past Pegasus Bridge and along the D-Day Normandy beaches, visit the Bayeux tapestry,  sample the oysters of St Vaast and the sea food restaurants of Cherbourg.

Stage 4 of our tour of the English Channel. Sail from Cherbourg around Cap de la Hague, through the notorious Alderney Race (at slack tide!) and down the west coast of Normandy to the walled city of St Malo to join the Bastille Day celebrations.

Stage 5 of our tour of the English Channel takes us along the coast of North Brittany exploring the harbours and anchorages of this dramatic granite coastline. Exactly where we will stop depends on tides and winds and we will end the week in Roscoff.

Stage 6 of our tour of the English Channel. Sail from N Brittany to explore the Channel Islands before making the Channel crossing from Braye on Alderney to Portland Harbour. Then round Portland Bill and across Lyme Bay to our base on the Ex.

Stage 7 of our tour of the English Channel will take us up each of the beautiful navigable rivers on the south coast of Devon and Cornwall in the wake of sailing ships of the past. The Ex, Dart, Kingsbride, Lyhner, Tamar, Fowey, Fl and Truro rivers finishing in Truro (or Falmouth) 

Stage 8 of our tour of the English Channel. On our last stage we will sail from Falmouth around the Lizard peninsular and across the open sea to the magical Isles of Scilly to explore the beautiful and diverse islands with their white beaches and abundant wild life before returning to Fowey.
