Experience relaxed sociable dining onboard sailing boat SNARK this winter. ​
From October to February, the SNARK is berthed in the centre of Exeter, in the Ship Canal basin, serving great home cooked food and carefully selected drinks. ​

Venue and Service
Dining on a boat at shared tables
The SNARK is the big green sailing ship moored on the Exeter Canal on Piazza Terracina over the winter. Access is up the ramp, across the deck, through a lift up hatch and downstairs into the main salon.
The space is warm and cosy, just the job for winter dinning. There are 20 covers on benches and bunks at two long shared tables.
The food will be prepared in the open galley and served in a single sitting in platters and bowls to share. Please introduce yourselves to your neighbours who will be sharing the meal with you!

Fixed price set menus
The food is home cooked from fresh local ingredients.

The set menu changes every few weeks based on places we have been and loved; Italy, Moorish Spain and of course England, plus a few special events to celebrate other cuisines.

Standard 3-course set menu £39 per person paid in advance. Plus drinks on the day. No service charge.
Special events have different menus and pricing. please see individual event booking pages for details.

Allergies and Dietary restrictions
Given the size of our galley, we cannot guarantee any dishes are free of trace allergens.

There are always vegetarian options available on the menu, but we are unable to offer special options to suit vegan or other restrictive diets.
Children and pets
Children over 12 are welcome at full price. We do not have high chairs and cannot serve special meals for children.

Pets are not permitted anywhere on board.
Group of 7 or more
Please contact us to make a confirmed booking at least 3 days in advance.
Last Minute
If online booking is already closed, please contact us as soon as you can to see if it is still possible to book in.
Booking Essential
For 1-6 people, please book online, and an invoice will be emailed to you for payment by bank transfer.
Full payment is required at least 24 hours in advance to secure your booking.
Private Hire
3-course menus available throughout the week. 2-course menus available on Wednesdays and Thursdays only.
