Big news….Qiao and I have decided this will be our last Summer Sailing season. We will run the Winter Dining on board in Exeter over this coming autumn and winter and then we plan to bring our Snark hunting to an end.

We started the project 10 years ago about the time of our combined 100th birthdays, which we celebrated with our first watery adventure together, sailing a 14 ft Norfolk one design around the Solent, saying at the best hotels and dining at the best restaurants! Snark was still in the yard being built. We are now approaching our combined 120th and that seems a good enough time to start pursuing happiness back on dry land.
We have three more Summer Sailings to go. The next two are fully booked but the last one, 23 – 31 August, from Falmouth to Topsham via the West Country rivers has plenty of space. So, if you have been reading these blogs and emails thinking ‘I’ll try that some day,’ now is your very last chance to book an amazing trip on Snark, at least when it still has Qiao and Paul as crew , book here or enquire here
There will be lots more about the future of our wonderful vessel (and us!) in later blogs.
P.S. The heading is the penultimate line from the poem 'The Hunting of the Snark' . It finishes 'For the Snark was a Boojum you see.'
