We see many special and unusual boats on our summer sailings but sometimes the most modest is the most eye catching! Who knows who was the creator of this one but it really should be the owl and the pussy cat.

We have just sent our guests ( three solo lady travellers ) ashore after another wonderful week sailing around the south west of England. The weather was unhelpful so the planned trip to the Scillies had to be revised. Our first stop was at Trelissick House to explore the gardens and then down to the Helford River for the night. A very misty day took us up to Fowey and then a glorious sail along the coast to the Tamar. Here we dropped the top mast (to clear the power cables at Cargreen) and motored up to Cotehele Quay for a few hours sight seeing.

Another gentle day took us back to Looe beach for sea swimming and an delightful overnight anchorage before heading back to Falmouth ahead of the wet week end. We now have a week off before our next sailing from Falmouth to Topsham starting 12 July. There are spaces on this so if you are in need of some last minute R & R click here summer sailings

Did you have a quiet week off?

We had a mixed week sailing back from Falmouth to Topsham. Some overly windy days kept us in the rivers; Fal, Truro, Lyhner, Dart, Exe...
