The gods are being kind to us this week. We are booked to go up the Exeter Canal to the centre of the city tomorrow morning. Last week the forecast was for strong winds and rain, the former being a big issue when motoring at slow speed in a narrow channel. However the weather today and forecast for tomorrow are the opposite, light winds and sunshine, all be it a bit chilly.

The rig is down and we are all set to depart Topsham Quay at around 08:45 tomorrow to lock in at Turf Lock at 09:30 and weed and bridge mechanics permitting to get to the canal basin at Haven Banks but lunchtime. We then have two weeks to get properly moored up, raise the masts, tidy and clean before we open for Winter Dining on 10 October.

We will hopefully see you on board for a meal this winter.
